Dehydration
Your skin needs water to stay healthy. Water loss is normal but skin can lose more water than it needs because skin is either naturally dry in barrier oils, weakened by too harsh skincare or from external conditions such as air con, swimming, the weather, exercise. All this leads to rough or dull patches and unhealthy, lacklustre skin.
How we treat
Dry or dried out skin loses more of its intrinsic moisture than an oily skin. It's so important to maintain a strong barrier to seal moisture in the skin.

Switch to a strengthening cleanser
Your lipid layer needs to be strong to help trap moisture in the skin, preventing it from becoming tight or irritated or inflamed. Products to skip include foaming face wash, toners, scrubs, micellar waters.
Our oil based cleanser is right for everyone—no matter your skin type.

Lock in water with vitamin B and and oil
Use a few drops of our vitamin B serum to seal in water and prevent moisture loss.

Flood the skin with oil and moisture
Moisturisers and masks rich in lipids (ceramides, cholesterol and Essential Fatty Acids) and natural moisturising factors (glycerin, hyaluronic acid, lactic acid) flood the skin with water. Overnight applying a layer of Reboot under Rest is good for thirsty skin, too.

Chemical exfoliation matters
Not only are they gentle but they are rich in natural moisturising factors. And without exfoliation, you can be applying the most well renowned hydrators, but if you have a layer of dead skin on top, that product is not going to be half as effective.
